av405 Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 I'm currently restoring a glue bomb and while removing the front window from the body, I accidentally broke off a piece of the visor (they are attached to the glass as one body). I plan on painting the visor portion down the line so I just want to know what the best glue is to reattach the broken piece of the window. Thanks.
Draggon Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 If theres no structural integrity, white glue is fine. Plastic cement and super glue will mess the window up. You could also try epoxy.
Foxer Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 I actually tried using Bondic to glue a broken windshield together but it wasn't a great success. It was too thin a piece though it did hold well until I started flexing it for testing. I think epoxy would be the strongest and safest to use since you say it won't be visible.

Personally, I would take the other one off and call it a day! After all, if you're building a hardtop, no one will ever see them anyway!
av405 Posted May 8, 2015 Author Posted May 8, 2015 Epoxy huh? Thanks guys! I'll give it a try. Do you recommend a specific brand? @fseva: I really want to leave them on. Apart from the fact that I plan on painting over the area that will be glued, I want to practice my skills at putting things back together. As it is, it wasn't the only piece that I broke while disassembling the kit, just the biggest one
