Chariots of Fire Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 I've been working on a Chevy Fire Dept. Tanker for a while now. It's almost done. Just a few more details. Charlie Rowley (Chariots of Fire)
Aaronw Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 Of course I've seen this already, but very nice. That front mount pump really steals the show, it could be a stand alone build.
lizardlust Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 LORD, if I could only build like that.....!! Incredible - I second the statement about the front pump being a model unto itself!! Did you begin with a Modelhaus cab, or did you create your own from a Revell 64 Chevy?? The ends of the hard suction lines appear to be turned metal - your own creations?? Beautiful replica - works like these make me feel like an eight-year-old with a tube o' glue and a spray can!!!

The pump is scratch built. The ends of the hard suction are aluminum tubing with bits of brass for the handles. I just painted them chrome silver.
