Zarana-X Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 Finished my Tamiya 1993 Supra. Only real mods were installing Aoshima BBS wheels and making a b/o plate for where the master cylinder isn't on the left. Plus
Bumblebi Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Looks good! I really love the Tamiya kits, nice kits overall I must say
Helix Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Nice build Jason, like the weathering you've done, looks very realistic for a white car that hasn't had a wash for a while due to the wet roads and road grime
Dominik Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 nice to see not the racing supra. Those wheels looking perfect on it. well done!
Zarana-X Posted May 25, 2015 Author Posted May 25, 2015 Thanks. I've taken to weathering most of my models, most of them tend to fall into 3 categories; drivers, racers, or post-apocalyptic. I try to build as clean as possible, but it helps to hide flaws... . Seeing a 4th gen Supra in the wild is like spotting a unicorn anymore. I think I've seen, like two in a year. I wanted to represent a nice, driveable car with subtle mods.
Mike 1017 Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Good looking Supra. You are right there are not many on the road. The announcers on Barrett Jackson were dispariging Japanese cars as to thier lack of collectability. I guess they never heard of the Supra. Are Supra's the barn finds of the future?

Are Supra's the barn finds of the future? They have a limited view. I guess they've never heard of the 2000 GT, 240Z, 510, Celica, Crown, 1600 Roadster, Colt, Starquest, Skyline, Fairlady, RX-2, 3, 4, 7 and so forth. Prices on 1st gen Celicas, 240Zs and 510s are through the roof around here, even for beaters/junkers.

Here in Sweden they are quite ordinary actually, you can spot anything from a completely stock N/A to 1000 whp 2JZ single turbo monsters on the street basically all over the contry!
