danman6677 Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Has anyone used the nail art pinstriping on their models, the scale looks close and 30 colors for $2,deal.
danman6677 Posted June 6, 2015 Author Posted June 6, 2015 http://m.ebay.com/itm/361028012301 This is the link. They say they are 1 mm thick.
Longbox55 Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 That would scale out to roughly a 1" wide stripe in 1/24-1/25 scale. I can see uses for it, although I think it would be more useful if they were available in regular solid or perhaps pearl/metallic colors instead of the color-chrome that they have pictured. Perhaps checking with the manufacturer to see if they have other colors/types available?
blunc Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 if this is the same tape that USED to be popular in real hobby shops...(which I suspect), this tape doesn't like to stay stuck down when placed in a sharp 90deg bend and was problematic in most any arc larger that about 15deg. I still have some but lost the packaging so I don't recall the manufacturer.
cobraman Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Not sure this stuff would take much of a curve at all.
