Mike Chernecki Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 I also saw somebody say the Lil John Buttera died last night. I will keep an eye out to confirm. I think we will know more tomorrow. I don't think so, I havn't read anything about it. But, I did see his name mentioned in almost every article written about Boyd today, maybe thats where the confusion came up.
mikelo Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 I heard it in a few places, but I am glad to report this post... Re: lil John Buttera -Down but sure not out -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There have been posts that my Dad has passed, although hes struggling he is hanging in there. Keep the good thoughts going. Leigh This post can be found here. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthr...757&page=14 I wanted to check it out before I said it like a fact. Between the two of them, I don't know if there would be a billet market. Truely pioneers in the industry. As everyone knows by now, Boyd has passed. He has truely inspired the hobby. I do feel bad that most people's opinion of him is based on the show.
Joe Nunes Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 Hi, Leigh. Be sure to tell your dad how we admire his work! So glad to hear he's still fighting tough on the Cancer. Got out my Revell Lil' John Buttera Chopped '34 Ford Coupe (Kit H-1337) and am looking at the pic of him in his shop. Prayers and thoughts for you all. Joe
