I'm surprised to see no coverage of the convention in Cleveland, unless they're somewhere else that I have yet to discover. There are usually gobs and gobs of car models present, but so far I've seen no photos.

Yes, it's the only convention that I'm aware of in Cleveland right now. Is there another? I'll check where you suggest, so thanks. (Every national convention I've been to (only 3 so far), have had tons of car models, but I've seen nothing on facelook either, lots of aircraft though.)

The IPMS Nationals are in Columbus this year.  I have seen a very few pictures on Facebook.

You're right. Good thing I didn't go, as I would have driven to the wrong city!

True. If I keep having these "senior moments", I'm going to get very frustrated. I really could have sworn that it was in Cleveland,... glad I didn't bet anybody.

I've seen similar threads on other modeling sites as well. Seems to be little interest this year.

Very odd. I guess we'll just have to wait until all the post-convention photos get posted.

That's why I asked if you meant the IPMS Nationals as I was sure they were in Columbus. A group from Toronto IPMS and Peel Scale Modelers have taken a bus tour down there. I thought there would be more coverage too.

I suspect there will be lots, but not until post-convention. By early week, we should be seeing a fair amount, I'd think. I intended to go this year, but it just didn't work out, so now I'm planning on 2016 for sure, down in South Carolina. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that I can actually pull it off. Should be roughly a 10-12 hour drive from here, more or less.

Peter, I was there Thursday and saw a peel scale modeler and by coincidence we stopped at a hobby shop in the suburbs of Columbus and ran into two Canadians in the shop that were there for the convention, I have posted a link to my Fotki site under the thread regarding IPMS Columbus

I would highly suggest if the IPMS convention is ever near you it would be well worth the investment.
