I couldn't sleep, I kept picturing the poor little Dodge Charger with that R/T grille, and had to help him.

Tried my best at scratchbuilding a more stock looking Charger 500 grille.

Not a bad job at all. How did you do it? Here is the same kit with the at one time anyway included 500 grille.

That grille would had saved me a LOT of trouble.

Mine I did using a piece of a photoetch grille, that I cut to fit the Charger grille. Used some tape on the back before painting it black, so the Charger R/T grille wouldn't be visible, and the headlights came from an old AMT 1964 Impala grille. Not as neat as a real kit's part, but kind of gives the idea of what the car is.

Yeah, i think it gives it a bit more identity being a 500, since it already had the convex rear window. Your grille actually looks better than the stock piece, so the work was worthwhile. i just bought one from ModelHaus

Thanks gents!!!

I just had to change the grille. I was afraid of having to pay years of therapy so the car would actually "discover" what he is, :blink:

Now he can say: "I'm a Charger 500"... "500!!, like a Galaxie..."
