Arctic_Frost Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 My son & I are working on Christine together. Body shots after 1 coat.
72 Charger Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 A little tip for building it . When you come to put the glass in open up the location holes with a drill or you will crack the glass they are a very tight fit I think this is a good kit with good detail even though the side trim is bent and the roof isn't the correct shape.
StevenGuthmiller Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 I love the '58 Plymouths!Don't forget, if you're building a Christine replica, you need the white top. Steve
Arctic_Frost Posted August 17, 2015 Author Posted August 17, 2015 Thank you all for the kind words.@ Steven, The top will be white along with as much detail as I can muster before my eyes cross.
StevenGuthmiller Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Thank you all for the kind words.@ Steven, The top will be white along with as much detail as I can muster before my eyes cross. Get the boy to do the little stuff! I'm guessing his eyes are better. Steve
Arctic_Frost Posted August 18, 2015 Author Posted August 18, 2015 Get the boy to do the little stuff! I'm guessing his eyes are better. Steve He is 18 & Autistic, getting him to step away from his "normal" is a lot to ask. Case in point, not even 10 minutes ago he glued in the firewall, motor, drive shaft and wheels. It was enough for him. I'm happy for the little moments. If it means it takes longer so be it, just happy do do things with him.
Arctic_Frost Posted August 18, 2015 Author Posted August 18, 2015 Considering the challenges, its turning out OK. No mods, box stock.
W-31 Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Heck yeah Ty, let him work at his own pace, and enjoy every moment! Took me and my 2 sons every bit of 8 months to finish a couple aircraft models they wanted to tackle. Takes time.
