Just completed this build a few days ago. My attempt at the "Underbird". Started out with an old Bill Elliot "Batbird" kit. Ordered powerslide decals from Mikes. Primed twice, painted with Duplicolor Universal White twice, painted the orange with Krylon "perfect pumpkin", cleared twice and polished and hand-rubbed out. Water sanded between each coat. Added several details- scratch built seatbelts, window net, MSD boxes, fuel overflow tube, and window clips. Also made the front windsheild straps from electrical tape. Was going to detail under the hood, but I became very anxious to finish. Made a couple snafus with the decals, one on accident and one on purpose. I'll see if you guys can point them out. Very pleased with this build. This is the first NASCAR I've done in probably 17 years. I already want to start another, but have many honey-do projects to complete first. Hope everyone enjoys.

Very nice!

I was a big Sr. fan but watching that 7 crew get it done was something else.

I wonder what Nascar would be like if Alan had lived longer?

Strikingly beautiful build of a classic vehicle .......... outstanding work ............... don't remember ever seeing Mighty Mouse next to the "Underbird" decal on the nose

Anyway, a great build B)B)

Very nice build on that Bird Derick, as I've been a fan of Hooters restaurants for over 20 years and have visited more than 3 dozen different locations. Many of them I've been to umpteen times. Maybe I'll get to build the Kulwicki Bird that's in my "stash" one of these days.

Nice build.  Glad to see someone putting some effort into the tires.  I think the more detail put into the wheels and tires, the better the look.  Congrats on the model.  Great work.
