FASTBACK340 Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Looks like I may have 1 build to knock out before I stuff everything in boxes and move. I need to finish a Christmas present early and I have almost everything except the license plates. Who'e the go-to source for nice scale plates?TIA…..

Crazy Ed Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 You can print your own:http://www.acme.com/licensemaker/licensemaker.cgi?text=a+29&state=Alaska&r=169361495
JTalmage Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Yep. Use ACME's maker, and then print them on glossy photo paper and cut out w/ a small pair of scissors. Make sure you dump the image into a word doc or mspaint and resize to .5 long and .25 tall. Works like a charm
ChrisBcritter Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Or go to licenseplates.tv, type up your own, do a screenshot and reduce it to match. Best part is the fonts are a much closer match than Acme; only problem is you can no longer make California, Texas or Florida plates on the site. I saved files of all the CA black plate letters and a blank plate master before they disappeared. A few examples:
snacktruck67 Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Which program do you use to resize the plates
Tom Geiger Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Acme Platemaker for me. Reduce the plates down in Microsoft Word. John, if you need a pair of photo etch plate holders let me know and I'll drop a pair in the mail
ChrisBcritter Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 (edited) I admit to using ArcSoft PhotoStudio; came with the computer when I bought it and I've gotten used to using it. Edited September 8, 2015 by ChrisBcritter
