Guest Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Crocus yellow, will have a 6 banger and dog dishes, 2 speed power glide.
Speedfreak Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 That is an interesting (in a good way) color Lee. I love that body style, it looks like it's going fast standing still.
Guest Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Yes, Crocus yellow is a GM color. The paint I used was stuff we were tossing at work. A good friend of mine that knows GM real well said it is nearly dead on.

Curt Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Lee, my dad had a '66 Impala that color. Those light yellows were really popular in the mid sixties. I remember it was the first car we ever had with air conditioning. I'm going to enjoy this build!
High octane Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Lookin' good and the "slip 'n slide" Powerglide was a popular trans back then.
Guest Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 The 1966 name for this color was lemonwood yellow. Same color, different name.
Snake45 Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 That's a great color on that car. Come to think of it, it's a good color on almost any '60s car.
