Thank you Scott, I´ll do my best

Petski, I have read the “link”, but apparently not good enough. I missed the part about Sweden. I order from Amazon. But I will check if the “Future” is available in our stores.
Thank you for the information.

You're Welcome Bo.

That website has this info about Sweden: Some members of IPMS Stockholm have been using a product from S.C. Johnson Sweden, called Pledge Klar Polish. It can be bought in ICA and COOP Supermarkets. Dan the Droid Building Viking reported this information for our use - thanks Dan.

A small progress, this was not a quick fix, take me some days
And I have one left.

The flash makes the leather little shinier than they are.

I have to paint the “bottom tray” but I don´t know in what color.
My alternative is: black (the steering wheel is black), brown (match the color of the leather and the floor board) and maybe chrome/silver or white.
What do you think??

I would go with either black or brown. Knowing Mercedes, the1:1 was probably black.  Some very impressive work being done here.

The seat looks really good. I would also follow Cato's advice about the bottom part of the seat.  Black with chrome band.

The Pocher Mercedes 300K I built many years ago had the floor factory-flocked with a very similar "carpet".  I thought that was a great time saver!

Bo. I just caught this. I believe you have the brackets installed incorrectly. The white plastic base has a hole for the pin near the back edge of seat part. I think the brackets should have the longer leg as the vertical and the shorter one would then align with the seat pin hole. Not have a Benz Pocher, I may be totally wrong so check with Marvin.

Thank you Tony, Scott, Peteski and Cato for your kind words and the suggestion for the color. I will try with BMF.
The carpeting is made by Pocher.
:)

Cato, I have checked the MMC homepage and Paul Koos DVD, and they have the brackets the same way, that I have.  I´m very glad that you take your time and help me with my building.

Apologize for the mistake but that photo of the seat base separate with the hole at the rear got me wondering.

A pleasure to look at and follow your work. I TRY to help but you're doing fine without me..

One layer of ”Future”  then one layer of primer and in the end  two layer of Tamiya “Pure white”, with wet sanding in between. Yes I can see spots that is not 100%, but I can live with that :)
The “red” disappeared, but the white on the main body is a liiiittle darker then the white on the pieces that was in white plastic (fenders, hood, doors and so on), it depends on the light how visible it is.

I will leave it that way. Lesson learned it´s easier to get an even color if you have the same plastic color on all pieces.

Looks very good Bo. Glad the Future worked for you. Next time, to get level overall color, use white primer or a fine, plain silver - no metallic, as primer.

I will call the seat finished.
I put some BMF on the “bottom tray” and I think it´s okay. The flash makes it shinier then it is.

Now when the main body is painted I can slowly try to put the Mercedes Benz together

Thank you Cato.

Working with some ”small” details.

Added some black wash on the “air valve” in brass on the wheel, not very visible in the photo.
Brushed the white ring on the wheel hub, and added the center "sign".

Tack för det Thomas! Thank you Thomas!

Trying to do some BMF on the fenders today, not easy.  I´m impressed of they who can make it on 1/24 scale :o

On some reference photos there are some cars with a “rubber cap” on the rails.
How do I do that?? With some kind of pen or what is your suggestion?

What do you mean by rubber caps? I've only seen triangle shaped chrome tips.

Sorry Skip, I don´t know all terms

I mean the rubber that is on the raised rails on the fender. I would like to have some paint on mine, that look like rubber.

With such a high difficulty factor, some things are best left as a compromise. Your foil work was beautiful; I'd be content with that.

Skip, thank you! That’s a way to go, but I have considered Cato’s suggestion and I think I go for that.
I probably mess all up if I try to put a “black strip” over the BMF

Back to the seat, I think it was too much “BMF chrome” on the bottom plate so, I put a small piece of leather over the most part of it, just for a test. Maybe I should narrow it a bit.
What do you think?

Doing little here and little there :)

I don´t know if this is something to write about, but I do it anyway.
I have followed Paul Koo´s DVD very exactly, but in this case he suggest (when using MMC handles and resin seats) to cut the pin on the inside and glue it. I use the nut and “tighten” it hard enough so the handle don´t easily move out of position, instead of secure with a small drop of glue in the rear end. Then drill a hole in the back of the seat to make space for the nut.
