Portholes

I need to make portholes like in the pic of this old ford. 1'24 scale. Any ideas?

One of the photo etch companies used to make SS rings. Each set came with a number of different sizes. Find those and apply to drilled hole.

I would think these round ones would be very easy to make.

Simple pieces of round plastic tubing sliced thin & foiled or sprayed with Alclad would do the trick.

Dennis,  I noticed from your address you may not be real close to a Michael's. I have used parts that are originally intended for making jewelry. The product that you might look for is made in China so I would think it would be available anywhere that carries jewelry making products. It is called Jump Rings Anillas. They make several different sizes but the one I bought is 0.15 in / 4 mm. They are very thin and almost like a stainless silver color. It could pass for the portals on a model.

Thanks for all the good ideas. Yes, espo...I'm not in Kansas anymore...Couldn't resist that sorry. Although I was stationed there for a year. Many items for the hobby are hard to find here in Thailand.. One problem is that the portholes are only 3" outside diameter...1/8 inch at 1/24. Now that I have some ideas, maybe I can find something on ebay. The Michaels pics give me ideas.Thanks to all.
