sheena Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Hi all, brand new to all this.I've just started to build my first model car and it's quite fun. I know this an odd hobby for a woman but I needed something to tinker with while home and I'm doing a fantasy car so accuracy of scale isn't a big deal and I'm hoping I can get creative but until I get some experience I'll be sticking to just getting things right per the instructions. I'm having a heck of a time getting the transmission to stay lined up with the engine but I'll keep playing with it. Hope to learn a lot while I 'm here and thanks for having me
StevenGuthmiller Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 You are pretty much a unicorn Sheena! It's hard enough to find a woman who appreciates cars, let alone one that builds models! Welcome aboard! Steve
Kit Basher Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Hi Sheena. It's great to have another Virginian with us. Welcome and have fun!
disabled modeler Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Welcome Sheena....Were always glad to see anyone join us here...glad to have you with us..! There are very many really nice people here for any questions, etc. Best advise anyone ever gave me is to treat every part as if it were a model itself...good luck on your first build.
Foxer Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Welcome to the most helpful forum around, Sheena. Just ask and you'll receive 3 ways to do everything. Hope you got your transmission mounted ... most parts are keyed in better, but not always. Do not be afraid to post photos ... all levels of builders post here.
sheena Posted October 14, 2015 Author Posted October 14, 2015 thanks for the warm welcome all and I love that idea of treating each part as it's own model
