Inspired by this photo my grandson announced he wanted to build a similar model.

We found a nice 68 Camaro in the stash and went at it. After peeling away this:

We now have this:

We used Aztec acrylic Silver and Blue for the main body colors. He used my Paasche Talon to ab the fade job. The stripes are Tamiya acrylic Flat White and Royal Blue. All masking and layout performed by the grandson.

The interior is Aztec Pearl White and Pearl Blue.

Found some clip art we plan on turning into decals.

For the hood.

The boy earned his keep as a modeler on this one. He even sports a band aid from where he cut himself whilst masking the seats. Diehard builder that he is, he was careful to not get blood on the work.

I admire your grandson's work!  That will turn out to be an interesting model.  I do question an adult doing that to a $30K 1:1 car in the name of spectator sports.

Charlie he's 12 going on 13 in December. I've had him building for about three years now. We just started airbrushing more complex designs.

Carl I thank you and will pass that along. I too question the rationality of painting a real car that way but to each their own.

Thanks Ray!

With all of them from Chicago you'd think that it would be different. LOL!

Although I had to sit and watch silently while the Cubs, hack hack spit, beat my beloved Cardinals recently.....................

A little bit more.

Pink wheel, homage to the Cowboys dedication to breast cancer awareness.

Aztek clear gloss

I think the kid did good!

She's in "Under Glass" now.
