george 53 Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 Heck guys, I'm still waiting for someone to come up with that 30 something 4x4 In post 671.
lordairgtar Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 How do you post up cars here without giving away the name? I either get nothing to show or you guys can somehow find the name on the file even though nothing is shown. I'm getting madder and madder that I cannot participate.

Gregg, all you do is when you find the picture, and save as, type whatever you want in the box before you save.

When you import the file into your computer, change the name then. I believe when you right click on something in the PC world(Mac user), you have an option of "save as...". You need to use that function. When you do, there is a chance to rename the file. just click in the box with the file's name and type what you want in place. After they are on your hard drive, I'm not sure on your machine. I hope I helped a little bit.
samdiego Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 (edited) um, that would make it harder for us to get it though , wouldn't it? With my first one, the name was written on the photo and nobody noticed. I took it as honesty, like not reading the answers that are printed right under the car themed crossword in our Saturday paper. Edited May 19, 2008 by samdiego
Modelmartin Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 It looks like pininfarina styling from the late 60s- early 70s. I was going to guess Opel but I really don't know and don't have spare time to find out. Andy
Guest zebm1 Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 (edited) Dang it Andy.....it's a 1975 Opel GT Concept car.........sheesh....... A little easier one...... or perhaps an easier one...... Edited May 20, 2008 by zebm1
Nick F40 Posted May 20, 2008 Author Posted May 20, 2008 alright, hold on there Zeb, before we get all confused, we still have these to guess.

dub Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 you should have kept it! Ouch, that hurt! I know, that was one of the dumbest things I've ever done. It only had 75K miles on it when I sold it....... ;) I need to go cry for a while.......

Don't worry Dub, you'll get through it, I want one soo bad, but it seems you do more, I seen 2 at the hillclimb! oh wait you were at the model club! they are hot cars and somewhat hard to find, and 75K? MAN DUDE......
CAL Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 (edited) I am thinking German, maybe first gen Rabbit/Golf, maybe a Scrocco or Cab. I can't think of anything else that square where the tail light is amber and dosen't wrap around corner... but the it's real dark on my screen can't see much of the pic. Edited May 20, 2008 by CAL
Dragon7665 Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 I'm sure Nick posted this one for me. I want to see who else knows this one. (yes Nick, I do know what it is.... A car guy should be able to id their first car; even from only about 6 square inches! ) First Gen VW Scirocco Really would Love to get my Paws on the New Sciro, but it doesn't look like it's ever going to hit the States within 10yrs...
dub Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 Whatever it is now, I don't know..... I can tell you that car rolled off the assembly line originally as a VW Scirocco, around 75-78 vintage. That pic is quite the amalgamation of 80's stuff. I see maybe Ford LTD or Granada front clip. Weird!!! ....and YES to Dragon7665! CORRECT!

They took Dr Porsche's Lohner-Porsche 100 year-old concept and modernized it into a $300,000.00 Briggs and Stratton Hybird concept car. Edited May 21, 2008 by CAL

I read in SCC that it won't be coming to the US......AT ALL, just in European countries, which they said they are kind of glad.. not sure why. what year?
dub Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 what year? No way to tell from your pic. All of the first gen years had the same tail lights. Give us a pic without as much cropping. You gotta play fair!
CAL Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Well Rob has my pic!!! Trying to be cleaver and change the color Ummm lets see now could it be a '76?
Nick F40 Posted May 21, 2008 Author Posted May 21, 2008 I used this picture manager and I clicked the add texture option or whatever and it made it brighter. and yes ......it is a 76, well, it says 75 and 76.
