Year make model/class and powerplant.

Ok, I have done tons of searching, trying to type stuff in and typing in every manufacter and chassis companies that I could think of or came to mind and for the life of me I just can't figure out what it is! ;) I know it's an LMP or prototype and Porsche but can't fugure it out.:blink:

1998 Porsche LMP? 956? 962? Fabcar?

98 Porsche LMP?

That would have been the GT1 911.

It's like a baby 956/962

Correct, it's not a Porsche it's a Fabcar. It's should be donunts from here... you wont even need a fork.

Well, after some more research, "Google", I came across Fabcar and remembered they used Porsche engines a lot and after studying some 962/956, there were HUGE similarities, so I thought about them, It is a baby version.......................No fork?

Cherry have anything with it? March I guess?

Well they were basically the same car. The difference was in the 962 to comply with the rule chance stating that the driver could not extend past the front wheels. A lot people thought it was to keep the dominate 956 from the series thinking Porsche wouldn't build an entirely new GTP car.

No cherrys no March. It was an IMSA car.

So to recap.

You don't have the year right, Fabcar is the correct make, no model/class, Porsche engine.

It's an Edsel design study before they nailed the final look of the car.

Correctomundo!

I'm way out of my league here, aint i...?...

I never said the year ;)

it's a freakin Fabcar built IMSA car that had a Porsche engine, turbo?, and made in the years from 1980 and 2000 ;)

Close but not really. Wrong year, model/class, engine displacement

It is a prototype but that is obvious.

A 901 was what the 911 was originally designated before being sued by Peugeot

Here is an actual 901

And I believe the 972 was a 911 GT3 Cup car.

How about 1986 fabcar/porsche GTP-L?

Ding Ding Ding we have a winner. Yes, a 86 Fabcar GTP-L or if you prefer a Camel Light GT.

CL PL same thing, so I was one year off :) I was actually thinking Camel Light GT because these cars competed in the Lights category.

Hey he didn't say the engine displacement, come on Chris at least give me credit, he's how much older? :(

CL didn't register for some reason. I just always think of them as Camel Light GT and not GTP-L and never saw them listed as GTCLs or wait... um CLGT

Okay you were close, you didn't have the correct displacement. :o

The 901 guess was funny. You were just all over the map one this one :o

It's okay.

Are you ever going to solve the green one?
