aurfalien Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Hi,I'm having issues with certain decals, mainly just the circled number type.I usually get em smooth (eventually) after applying decal softener several times over a period of time and a Q-Tip.Are there easier ways to manage this?
Nacho Z Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 I always use very warm water to put my decals in. Others use a blow drier when applying them. This just makes the decals a little "softer" and more pliable and easier to lay down over irregular shapes.
SfanGoch Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Wrinkling is a normal occurrence when using decal softener. The decal will flatten out when it dries. Using a blow dryer in order to speed up the process could damage the decal and soften the paint. The model ain't going anywhere. Let the decal dry on its own through evaporation. Exercising some patience can prevent a lot of potential agita and grief.

This time around the decals turned out good! Edited October 26, 2015 by aurfalien
dublin boy Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 Yes, don't panic when the decal wrinkles up, Microsol will do this sometimes.
