I truly belive he won for one reason only, Mercedes has provided a far superior car than anybody else has. If given equal cars Vettel would beat him every time.

Not a Hamilton fan but there is no denying his skill.   Nico is never going to beat him in the same equipment that's for sure.

I'd line them all up in Golf GTi's or some other road car once a year for a full 2 hour race and see how they get on....

 

In the distant past they used to drive lots of different stuff like F2 and tin tops, Jim Clark in a mk1 Lotus Cortina for example. Last one I remember was most of the F1 squad racing Mercedes 190E Cosworths, which Senna won from Prost. The cream always rises to the top.

That was a really good race, really enjoyed it. Lewis is not my favorite driver but he did earn this championship.
