Michel31 Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 There is a story behind this car. Many years ago I bought this car (It was a Hotwheels release) for my late father in law who was a big Kenseth fan. It was his first 1/24 he ever got. He displayed that car in a very prominent place in his man cave as he cherished that like there was no tomorrow. It was also the start of his diecast collection. Fast forward to 2015. Pops passed in April and naturally, all cars that he collected and I dropped of there because I had no space left, ended up at my house. Then I got to do some trading and one of the cars I got in a trade was this same car. Now, I had two of those. Thinking that I had to most likely strip it and make it another custom at some time, I did some research. I found that Kenseth had driven this car in a No Bull version. The conversion then became a fact. A simple standard Hotwheels car made look like something special. The orange as always is handpainted as I prefer it that way.
Dave Van Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 NICE build........but I may take all my Matt cars out to the driveway Monday and show them a mighty hammer.......I'll feel better then.
Michel31 Posted November 2, 2015 Author Posted November 2, 2015 I understand completely what you said Mr. Van. I am not a Kenseth fan by any stretch of the imagination and this is more of a tribute to my father in law who was a fan of his then anything else.
bbowser Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Great build! I will vote with Mr. Kenseth. Not my favorite driver by any means but you can only put up with so much. NASCAR got what they wanted with "boys have at it", now they have to deal with the fallout.

1930fordpickup Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 I always like Matt as a driver but he should have been given the boot for the rest of the year. Before anyone says Joey had it coming just remember Dirty Dale won 7 cups racing that way.
Michel31 Posted November 6, 2015 Author Posted November 6, 2015 Exactly, and Jeff Gordon used to be masterfull executing the bump and run as well. Nobody said anything then. That being said, I am not a Logano fan by any stretch of the imagination but I do not dislike him either.
restoman Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 I thoroughly enjoyed that drive into the fence! Judging by the crowd's reaction, they did too. Lagano is a very good driver, for very good team, but he has a lot to learn. Matt acted as the teacher... Listening to Joey's comments over the last two or three days, someone on his team has told him to keep his mouth shut and don't start anything he isn't prepared to finish. I'm pretty sure Kenseth would have let Kansas go, at least until Joey started running his mouth. ... But what he did was intentional, and Nascar doesn't want anyone but themselves controlling the outcome of a race, so he gets to sit out for two weeks.
