MLMDesign Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 This is my entry, it is a 1991 Mercury Cougar XR7. I used parts from a 2010 Shelby GT500 Mustang the engine is a 5.4 liter with 540HP. It has the Mustang rear axle, drive shaft and radiator. The air cleaner was modified to make it fit.
RiskiestLion Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 hell yeah can i say rear wheel cougar for the win this is the nice build to see im glad ive seen this build in my life hope to see more from you !!!!!
W-409 Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 This is a very cool build! If you kept the hood shut it could very well be presented as a Factory Stock model. Good work making that Mustang engine fit under the hood so that everything still looks stock from outside. Little amount of rust on rear quarter panel is a nice touch. Seeing so many of these excellent Sleepers makes me feel a bit sad that I didn't finish my Single Turbo 383 SBC Trabant... Well maybe next year then.
Againmikewins Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Looks great! I've got one of these kits that I'll get to one day. How did you get the Mustang rear axle and the Cougar suspension to fit together so well?

How did you get the Mustang rear axle and the Cougar suspension to fit together so well Thanks michael. I cut the springs off the rear axle and cut it to the right length. The rear A arms fit right over the rear axle. The Mustang rear axle was very easy to put in.
