Mattsteel85 Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Built this as a little side project at work didn't think I'd ever fill it!
66belair Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Nice work! I could use one of those by with round holes.
afx Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 I would suggest some sort of turnstile but you might have a hard time finding on that will support the weight of the rack!
StevenGuthmiller Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Boy Matt, you're too well organized to be a modeler! You should see how I organize my paints. I use the "manure spreader" method! Wherever it lands, it lands. Steve
Mattsteel85 Posted December 12, 2015 Author Posted December 12, 2015 Lmao Steve I got sick of that style and decided to build something
StevenGuthmiller Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Lmao Steve I got sick of that style and decided to build something I'm kind of sick of it myself Matt, but I'm a slob very deep down! And as you know......Well, the "old dogs" thing. Steve
Mattsteel85 Posted December 13, 2015 Author Posted December 13, 2015 Steve what type of paints do you use? Testors square or tamiya round bottles?
High octane Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Very nice work Matt, is that welded square tubing?
Mattsteel85 Posted December 13, 2015 Author Posted December 13, 2015 Ya it's 1*1/4 x 1*1/4i work in a steel shop so I just raided our scrap bin and threw something together
disabled modeler Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 That is nice...imagination is the mother of invention.
charlie8575 Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 I'm kind of sick of it myself Matt, but I'm a slob very deep down! And as you know......Well, the "old dogs" thing. Steve And I don't even have to dig that deep! But I absoltuely hate disorganization. Weird, I know. This is a brilliant idea. Matt, seriously, you could sell those. I'd recommend putting it on a lazy Susan race on a slightly-larger round piece of Masonite, painted to seal it. Charlie Larkin
Mattsteel85 Posted December 14, 2015 Author Posted December 14, 2015 I'm still in the works of coming up with/finding a mechanism so it spins
StevenGuthmiller Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Steve what type of paints do you use? Testors square or tamiya round bottles?I use a mixture of all sorts of different things.Mostly the round Testors 1/2 oz. jars, & a few of the sqaure 1/4 oz. along with a bunch of other stuff. Steve
1930fordpickup Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 (edited) Nice work Matt. If you put one square piece with a bottom on it upright you can use it to hold a bottle with a stuck lid while you get the pliers out.I think if you get your bearing mounted halfway up it will spin easier .
