aero_eagle Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 My name is Jim Saunders. Having been bitten by some bug back "in the day", I have appreciated motor vehicles of all types, kinds, and brands for quite some time. Over the years I purchased many model kits with the intention of building them in retirement. Not gonna happen. This collection started in the early to mid 70s and is "preferenced" to sports and racing cars, with many others purchased for support parts. I recently purchased a fullsize 1966 Ranchero and will be restoring it (43K mi, 200 6cyl/3spd column shift) and will be replicating it in 1/25 scale as well. Rather than scratch build, I would like to save time by trading for a good to great resin replica. I know they were/are not plentiful, but I am sure I have something worth trading. Thanks. Hope everyone enjoys modeling as much as I do and gets to build their dream.
slusher Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 James, welcome there is a trade and wanted section for your interest...
disabled modeler Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 Welcome James...! Nice thing about building/restoring models is we get to live our dreams in a sense. I hope you find the 66 resin for your project and dreams...we all have them...
aero_eagle Posted December 17, 2015 Author Posted December 17, 2015 Thank you each for your welcome posts. I actually posted to the wanted section first. Hope I did not offend anyone (or am I simply getting to meet personalities). I felt a little guilty about doing so without posting here so I introduced myself by what is pertinent to this forum about me and the starting relationship I hope to have here.
Ken Kitchen Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 Jim, welcome I'm more of a lurker on this board as I don't post often but I do check it on a pretty regular basis. Just so that you know we do have a small club in Colorado Springs. it's call the Front Range Auto Modelers (FRAM). We meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month at the south Hobby Town near the Citadel Mall. The meetings generally start around 5:30 - 6:00 and run until the store closes at 8:00. We're an informal group it's more of a build and bull atmosphere with no formality of any kind. The next meeting is the 22nd of December. Please stop by if you can and bring something to work on or talk about.
