Hi, was considering converting Revell 69 Mustang to Boss 429 and was wondering which engine would be best/most accurate? Thx

Most of the actual engine parts in that kit were cast from parts out of the Johan Boss Hoss Mustang drag car. That maybe be a little easier to come by cheaply in your are, just throw on the intake and aircleaner from the Revell Torino and you have a great looking stock Boss 429.

I believe the engine parts came from the Jo-Han Ford Maverick or Mercury Comet Pro Stockers, they for sure looks like the engines in them.

I wouldn't dismiss a 1/24 scale 429 until you've tried it for fit.  I have successfully used 1/24 scale engines on 1/25 scale projects.  The Monogram/Revell 429 in the '70 Mustang kit looks pretty good to me.
