I don't mind, just let me finish my current Studebaker

The Monster STude is the AMT kit with the chop top although the sides have been replaced and rear wheel wells moved and the airdam scratched. the chassis and rear air foil are from the Juke box Ford.

This is my 53 that I have been working on since about 1998. It has been shortened (about 1/2 inch behind the doors) and combined with a 99 Vette. The windshield frame is from a 53 Ford Vicky Conv. I hope to finish it someday.

I hope this post worked. Enjoy.

I have a couple 53's and Avanti's. In this pic you can see the first one that I built way back in the early 60's when it first came out. I built it as Mr. Speed

In this pic you can see the second one that I started but because of an accident I haven't done anything to it since

In this pic you can see the damage that needs fixed.

I thought I had some pics of the Avanti's but I can't find them. They both are real old builds and one needs rebuilt badly. Thanks fer lookin. :P Dan

Its good to see the different ways to build these cars. We have seen stock, racing and salt flat racers. I would love to see Treehugger Dave build one, along with Bill finish his.

Here are a few pictures of my 2 that were given to me but Curt Raitz and Raul Perez, respectively.

Sigh...............Fotki just kills me! :)

It's annoying with the slightest little change you want to make to your pics, all of them from previous posts on the 'net somehow end up in the cyber bit bucket! B)

Anyway, my original pics on page one of my '58 are back on now in this thread..................

Clay, that Stude is on my to do list after I finish the Cougar II------but it's a competing thought to either rebuild that, or to make an all new Shelby "Green Hornet" since I have all the parts needed to make that one now.

The Shelby's kinda in the lead as I want to get away from '50's cars for awhile.

Then there IS that '55 Ford that's been collecting dust due to a door problem................

Well Bill, whenever you chose to rebuild it, if I am still in country, let me know what you need and I will try my best to get it to ya.

It's good to see these two together again!!

And, it looks like they're holding up pretty well (at least after the repairs from their trip back east). :)

Clay, I found the Avanti's. I also found a 53 that I forgot about. So, I put all the Studebakers together and took a picture and here they are.

studabakers.jpg

The black one is the one with the broken top. I need to fix that. I do have another top from the Mr Speed car that I can use. The white one is the one that I forgot about. I have a roll bar in it and was going to make some kind of race car. Both of the Avanti's need repaired and the green one has alot of the bodywork sanded off. I didn't do this, I got it that way. Mr. Speed needs repaired and I have one still in the box. I will get to them one of these days. Dan

Posted this one before, but thought it would fit in nicely with this thread as I, too, love all things Stude.

This is the classic AMT '53 Starliner. Tamiya TS Coral Blue. Wide white sidewalls from the Lindberg 53 Ford.

This is the stuff I come to this site for... beautiful builds of cars that are NOT another bunch of red '69 Camaros!

Maybe when I find a decent "bullet nose" Stude body or a trans-kit, and figure out how to post pics on the goshdang forum thread, I'll show it off here! Sheesh, who among us would NOT want a bullet-nose in kit form?

Meantime, guess I'll just go back to the beginning and check out THESE Studes again... where's my drool napkin, now?

Here is my bullet! The name is Darth Baker. Yes it is backwards and it won the Klingon Kruiser award at GSL back when I can't remember! I made it from a resin copy of an old promo. It was pretty rough. The driveline is from a Heller Renault F1 car, Interior and wheels from a Fiero and pro/street rear tires. I only scribed in panel lines but it would have gullwing doors.

I also did the masters for Jimmy Flintstone for his Bullet-nose Funny car body and dragster! I definitely have bitten the bullet!(har, har)

Did anyone ever build the "frankn-stude" curbsid kit. My dad gave me one for my birthday like 14 years ago, still sitting on my shelf. Have'nt had the curage to tackle it yet, always wanted to make it a full detail model.
