10thumbs Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Hey Brian that's a great looking rear end setup, good stuff.
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted May 28, 2016 Author Posted May 28, 2016 (edited) Thanks for the kind words: Terry, Gator, Gino, Dennis, Michael, and Dan!! I've just about got the rolling chassis finished. I focused on finishing it first, so that I could put it to the side and not handle it any more than I had to. This truck is getting heavy, and with the long frame rails it is pretty springy. Most of the chassis plumbing is done. Fuel sender and lines installed: Fuel crossover and valves made: Throttle Made: Pogo stick made and deck cleared: Edited May 28, 2016 by DRIPTROIT 71

DRIPTROIT 71 Posted May 30, 2016 Author Posted May 30, 2016 Working on making some new doors now. Another trial and error process. L.O.L.
guitarsam326 Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Looking good Brian! Wont be long before she's all finished!
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted June 1, 2016 Author Posted June 1, 2016 Looking good Brian! Wont be long before she's all finished! Thanks Sam! Truthfully, I'm ready for it to be finished. Update, It's starting to look like a truck. Primer coat is a little rough (it's 80 degrees and humid), but sanding will fix that. All the rough spots in the body shine like Christmas tree lights now.
Superpeterbilt Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Great job on the doors Brian. Thats a big improvement over the resin. Nice job on the hinges also.
Canso65 Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 The engine details look incredible Brian. I love those wood floors. Time for me to wave the white flag.
10thumbs Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Good work on the hinges and doors, really taking shape now!
redneckrigger Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Wow...............you are REALLY showing us all how to think outside the box of normalcy! Like Tesla said before, every time I look at this, I see something else that makes my jaw drop. From the chassis details, to the hardwood details, to the shifting linkage, to the exhaust and intake piping, to the doors, to the hinges, to that amazing little ball valve...............................just WOW! It just goes on and on. This absolutely amazing! Keep up the great work..........it is truly inspiring!
guitarsam326 Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Lookin good Brian! Is the cab gonna be the same color as the chassis?
