I kinda get how to create one for cars with regular roofs, but I'm really curious how to do it on tunnel-backed cars (The sharply creased C-pillars on '66-'67 GM A-bodies and '68-'70 Chargers).

I've tried Googling this before but haven't found what I needed.  If I missed a video that deals with this, I'd appreciate it if you'd link me up.

Bonus question:  Do these masking tape roofs hold up over time?

I don't know about videos, but I bought a vinyl top kit . . . I think it was by Model Car Garage . . . it has everything needed in it, and it was only about $6.

I've done a couple over they years.

The green GTX is masking tape and painted. Its was done well over 25 years ago. and still look ok .

The red MPC charger is paint. used small strips of stryene to make the seams then spray painted it with semi gloss black and holding it way back from the kit on the last couple of coats to get some kind of texture to it ..
