I haven't heard anything yet...I would think Fujimi would do one eventually (it seems Tamiya has given up on new kits). I saw the GT-R on display (RHD model) at the Denver Auto Show today, it's an impressive design...

JHC, it only took about 3 mins. for the reply window to come up

No word yet on a new GT-R, but you know it has to come out w/all the hoopla. I have heard from someone who visited Fujimi that they had something "big" to announce very soon. Could it be the GT-R 35?

Saw a GT-R 34 Nismo today at a car show. Neat car ;)

nope it is the R35, the R34 was the one before it (same one that was used in F&F2 the silver car with blue stripes)

Following the end of R34 production in 2002, Nissan announced their plans to separate the GT-R model from the Skyline name, creating an entirely new vehicle although it would remain on the same platform as the Skyline. This new car, now known simply as the Nissan GT-R, debuted in 2007 in Tokyo. It will be the first GT-R available worldwide, entering the North American market for the first time.

i know there is confusion some say it is a R36 but do a search for R35 and R36 and you get pictures of the same car

I wondered about the code names...after the R34, the Skyline has continued with the V35 and V36 generations (sold in the US as the 1st gen Infiniti G35 and now the 2nd gen G35/G37, respectively), and the new GT-R is the R35, a separate model from the Skyline.
