Griff Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 (edited) About a little over a year into the hobby, new to the site, and my first build on this site. I bought this kit with the intent to do all the decals, but soon after i bought it the Vallejo Metal Colors caught my eye and got me thinking. ( right now I only use acrylic paints because I'm spraying indoors and don't have a spray booth). I choose the magnesium color for the body and grabbed a bottle of dark aluminum just in case, also got some Tamiya titanium gold which I ended up using on the shocks and the calipers. I'm glad I got the dark aluminum because it came in handy. Everything was first airbrushed with the Vallejo gray acrylic primer, then the parts getting the metal colors were airbrushed with Vallejo gloss black primer, then a couple thin coats of metal color. The Vallejo metal colors are amazing out of the airbrush, along with the gray primer, the gloss black primer needed a little more thinning but it works good. Body is almost done, need work on the windows, interior and roll cage, the color on the roll cage is killing me, any suggestions would be awesome. Edited January 25, 2016 by Griff

Poppa mitch Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Looks like a great start, what type of paint and color did you use on the gear box and rear end?
Foxer Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 That's an interesting body .. and the paint looks good on it.

Griff Posted January 26, 2016 Author Posted January 26, 2016 The decals for the harness are really nice, the carbon fiber for the back isn't realistic but fits good
Griff Posted January 30, 2016 Author Posted January 30, 2016 test fit of the roll cage before painting
Demerovingian Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 Love the paint job and the interior is coming along well!
