Chromecop Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 (edited) This old Revell-kit will be modified using a Fujimi Porsche 911 Turbo engine. It'll be lowered both front and rear. The wheels are stock AMT VW Rabbit 13" up front and the same wheels mounted to 15" rims in the rear. Originally this was a window van/bus. So I cut out and replaced the sidepanels using plastic card. I may, or may not...?, put a big sunroof to it and maybe even van-style Bubble-windows... Edited January 27, 2016 by Chromecop
iamsuperdan Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Porsche engine. So you're building a panel version of the B32. Sort of. I approve 100%. I used to have a 1985 T3 Doka. Did a TDI swap in it. Miss that truck.
Davewilly Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 looks pretty cool so far. I like the stance of it.
Chromecop Posted February 3, 2016 Author Posted February 3, 2016 Put the turbo-boxer in the cradle last night :
Chromecop Posted February 27, 2016 Author Posted February 27, 2016 The bench seat up front is almost done. Had to scratchbuilf two headrests from old 1/32 Scale carseats
Chromecop Posted March 1, 2016 Author Posted March 1, 2016 (edited) All sidewindows and rear windows have been filled. Edited March 1, 2016 by Chromecop
Chromecop Posted March 5, 2016 Author Posted March 5, 2016 (edited) Put some paint on the chassie today and also made a mock-up of the body to see what it'll look like with spoiler, skyports and marker-lights: Edited March 5, 2016 by Chromecop
oldcarfan Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 Looks good. Somewhere four meddling kids and a dog are wondering who stole their van!

Chromecop Posted March 6, 2016 Author Posted March 6, 2016 Ohhh, nice sunbather! Where'd you find her? That's a keychain-figure. Bought it many moons ago here in Sweden.
Chromecop Posted March 7, 2016 Author Posted March 7, 2016 (edited) I had to do another mockup today, just to check out the stance: Edited March 7, 2016 by Chromecop
Chromecop Posted March 16, 2016 Author Posted March 16, 2016 New handles for the drawers and door under the "bed-compartment" Spoilern from Tamiya Nissan Leopard or similar nippon-junk. Had to adjust the bumper to work with the spoiler:
Chromecop Posted March 16, 2016 Author Posted March 16, 2016 I had to remove the spoiler. Maybe I'll scratchbuild something instead...
Chromecop Posted March 17, 2016 Author Posted March 17, 2016 Woodgraining finished this morning. I'll put some some clearcoat on by sunday evening:
CFMgarage Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 Wow that's a very cool concept so far! I'll be watching
