Lunajammer Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Another sad marking of the passage of time. While I respected his music, I much more enjoyed his interviews. I loved his sense of irony and whip smart, understated humor.
slusher Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Another music pioneer and we have not made it out of January...
Badluck 13 Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 This saddens me a whole lot....I know we must all go at some time but Paul was one of those I really enjoyed and loved his work......many of his writing has help me through the years,in fact my first "rock" song ever introduced to was my sisters 45 "Somebody to Love" in '68 and loved his work ever since......the Heavens has many greats now for one heck of a performance.....R.I.P. Paul......
Harry P. Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 As the dead Freddie Mercury said...another one bites the dust.
Ramfins59 Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 As has been said "If there's a Rock & Roll heaven, you know they've got a hell of a band."
Tom Geiger Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 I heard that Abe Vigoda and Jean Stapleton died this week also. Celebrities are dropping like flies!
Harry P. Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Jean Stapleton died years ago. Abe Vigoda is covered in the Dead Fish topic...
Tom Geiger Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Jean Stapleton died years ago. It was Pat Harrington... same thing, I got the ton part right!
Harry P. Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Oh no! Not Schneider too!!! I didn't hear about that one.
madhorseman Posted January 30, 2016 Author Posted January 30, 2016 (edited) As has been said "If there's a Rock & Roll heaven, you know they've got a hell of a band."I second that!! This is one of my favorite songs by The Airplane, one that is maybe not of there more commonly heard songs though. RIP Paul https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dbshnvztGA Edited January 30, 2016 by madhorseman
Crazy Ed Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 I do like that version over CSN's. Kantner was a cowriter of the song.
