Speedfreak Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 Cody, the body looks real nice in the photo, love the color , be careful putting on another coat of paint. I've made similar mistakes forgetting body parts, it's all part of the deal.

Dann Tier Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 Looks like you're off to a great start still! Since you are a new modeler, and difficulties find us all, remember this: there is NO such thing as a perfect model, but the best modeler is the one who can hide, or distract ones eyes from mistakes, IMO.
Speedfreak Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 (edited) not sure what would be the best way to do it there is just some light spots should it just paint them or do the whole thing? Can you post a photo(s) of the bad spots? That would help in diagnosing the problem(s) and how to fix them .There are people on this forum far more knowledgeable about painting than I, maybe someone will post something if they know where the problem areas are, because from the photo you posted it doesn't really look bad. I'm inclined to agree with Dan.
sameer745 Posted February 1, 2016 Author Posted February 1, 2016 how do you guys do the inside of the bodys do you just leave them with what they are or paint them? also paint spots are fixed starting some work on the chassis now
sameer745 Posted February 1, 2016 Author Posted February 1, 2016 scratch that i do not have the paint brushes i emnt to bring from home ugh
Speedfreak Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 You'll get there Cody. Good to hear the bad spots are fixed. You can paint the inside of the body any color you like, a lot of people use a darker shade, some leave it the same color as the body , many use black , it's up to you. Depends too on what kind of car it represents, stock, drag, etc,...
kforbus Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 how do you guys do the inside of the bodys do you just leave them with what they are or paint them? also paint spots are fixed starting some work on the chassis now back in the day i would tape up the exterior and shoot it with rattle-can spray paint. On my current build, I taped up the body and airbrushed the inside. On this model, I would do a black interior. I think it would look good with that body color.
espo Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 I will usually paint the headliner and door sills when I reach the primer stage but not the final sanding of the exterior body. After that dries I'll mask off the exposed interior and paint the interior of the body and inner fenders with a flat black where it will be seen and then masked . The wheel lip area and maybe areas around the bumpers that would be body colored are left uncovered. Then proceed with the body work and paint. After the exterior painting and clear is finished I'll remove the interior masking. There is usually a very thin ridge of paint around some window opening that has to be removed, but other than that it usually works well.
