especially for a Michigan state trooper, I always thought they were all blue.

This an Ann Arbor Police car. Funny you thought State Police were always blue as 1958 is a year some have mentioned was the switch to the current color Blue. They were black with a Gold stripe before that.

Andy...the switch from black to blue was 1953 or 54.  Even though this 54 Chevy is in black & white, you can tell its not the black/gold stripe paint.  Everything I have from before this year is the older scheme.

Wow! That turned out very nice. Great job with converting it into a Delray, it's nice to see something different. I've never seen that color combo on a cop car either, but it looks really good. Beautiful model for sure!
