Hello fellow model builders.  I'm Tim, age 56 and I enjoy 50's to late 70's cars, stock, mild custom and street cars like I used to see on the road when I was growing up.

Many of my builds are typical "used car" looking styles.  Not totally factory stock new, but not "aged" either.   I like a clean build of a shelf model, most any type, but realistic in appearance with some detail added.  I prefer to not compete anymore in contests, but I do enjoy going to them.  I appreciate the time and effort some folks put into building these phenomenally built kits, but it got to the point for me, that it took the enjoyment out of building them.   (and I never got to the level many of you guys are at!!)  I just do this for my own enjoyment now.   With way too many kits in the closets, I will just build them to my taste and move on to the next one.

Attached are just a few of what I have done to my level of enjoyment.

All you superbuilders... ROCK ON!!   LOL!  I love checking out the work!

Welcome Tim. Judging by the models you've posted, you got nothing to be ashamed of. Those are some really nice clean builds you got there.

Welcome Tim from a fellow NC modeler! Those builds look fine to me but the important thing is that you have figured out how to enjoy the hobby! I too build for myself and would rather have 20 kits built to my satisfaction than to try and chase that one or two for a contest!

You will enjoy it here, lots of great stuff to look at and learn!
