Bob Ellis Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 As usual Randy, nice work.I have that kit as well. How did you handle the exhaust system. The kit comes with a pre-1975 exhaust; real duals, no catalytic can and one muffler.I am guessing that I need to fabricate something by myself.
RandyB. Posted February 29, 2016 Author Posted February 29, 2016 Thanks guys for all of the great comments. Sorry for being late to reply....I had forgotten that I posted the model in here until just now, must be old age. The kit offers three decal color choices, tires and wheels came from my parts box since I didn't like the ones that came with the kit. I lettered the tires with a white acrylic gelly roll pen which came out nice and was ten times faster than using a paint brush. Bob Ellis, to answer your question regarding the exhaust, they are the older dual exhausts. The T-tops were done with BMF Black Chrome which was a pain to apply due to the bad adhesion qualities and thickness of the foil itself. Tends to get wrinkles when you lay it down and are tough to get out. On top of that the black rubs off the foil easily if you handle it too much. Under the hood pic included. I didn't wire the engine because I find MPC kits lack under the hood detail.
Helix Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Cheers Randy, any chance you could take a pic of the kit rims for curiosity sake ? Thanks

AC Norton Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 very, very nice Randy.....reminds me of my disco days when all my buddies and I drove new Z28 Camaros or T/A 'birds in that late 70s early 80s era......great work and thanks for posting this build..........the Ace.........
Samiches Posted March 4, 2016 Posted March 4, 2016 That white paint job came out super clean. Well done!
bogger44 Posted March 4, 2016 Posted March 4, 2016 Another great build, Randy. You sure have yourself a great looking collection of Firebirds & Camaros from this generation.
