PatW Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 This has taken me about a week to build, box stock.....
afx Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Nice Pat. I had an older air-cooled 125R growing up. Never raced it just used it for trail riding.
jeffs396 Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Great job Pat! Sure wish Tamiya would reissue the complete series of 1/12 dirtbikes...
PatW Posted March 9, 2016 Author Posted March 9, 2016 Thanks guys. Our youngest son ran a Honda 50R when he was 12, I used to test it of course!
Crazy Ed Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Good looking build Patrick. The last Honda 50 I rode was a 50 C110 - It's been a while
PatW Posted March 9, 2016 Author Posted March 9, 2016 Thanks Ed, yes I think most of us have ridden a Honda dirtbike at some stage!
Agent G Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 That is sweet!I was a Yamaha guy. But owned several Honda street bikes.G
PatW Posted March 10, 2016 Author Posted March 10, 2016 Thanks Wayne, yes we've also had '70's Bultaco trials bikes.
Agent G Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 I scored two Hodaka's back in the day from a friend who was moving. I used the parts from both to build what I called a "Super Duper Combat Wombat" . Boy when it was running right it was a screamer.G
PatW Posted March 13, 2016 Author Posted March 13, 2016 Thanks Stephen very nice kit makes a very nice bike.
Crazy Ed Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 (edited) Thanks Ed, yes I think most of us have ridden a Honda dirtbike at some stage! Patrick, the Honda 50 C110 wasn't quite what one called a Dirt Bike even though that's where I learned to ride one 2 or 3" of front suspension travel and maybe 2 more inchs in the rear. The upside was they were Almost indestructible. http://i.b5z.net/i/u/1029789/h/c110_rt.JPG Edited March 14, 2016 by Crazy Ed
PatW Posted March 14, 2016 Author Posted March 14, 2016 Yes Ed I remember those here in the UK, they were possibly the first Honda's to come into the UK!
PatW Posted March 16, 2016 Author Posted March 16, 2016 Thanks Kevin, it's a shame that there are so few Moto-X & Trials bikes produced.
Ridge Rider Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 I like it Pat. My first bike was a 74 CR 250 Elsinore so I am fond of Hondas and have owned several but now ride Yamaha/KTM because they still make 2 strokes.
PatW Posted March 19, 2016 Author Posted March 19, 2016 Thanks Steve, yes the 4 strokes have nearly taken over!
