69NovaYenko Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 Finished applying bumble bee strip and came back the next day to discover that I had a small air bubble trapped under the dryed decal. The previous night I had applied decal setting solution so the dog gone decal has truly been down on the body. Any suggestions on how to get read of the air pocket will be appricated.
peteski Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 I assume the decal has not yet been clear-coated. Take a sharp pin and gently puncture the bubble in at least coupe of places. Ir take a hobby knife with a fresh blade and very gently slice across the bubble. Just a tiny slice will do. Then take some decal setting solution and using a brush dab it over the bubble. Then let it sit and the setting solution should soften the bubble and make it settle down. You might have to repeat the setting solution application more than once (but wait until the previous application is dry). If needed, touch up the decal with the same color paint.
69NovaYenko Posted March 11, 2016 Author Posted March 11, 2016 thanks for the advise. It resolved my issue.
