jhuntsman Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 (edited) Started on a new project as if i dont have enough going already. Finally broke down and bought the 1/12 scale camaro. Immediately got out the calipers and started designing parts for it. Heres a couple pics of the wheels and brakes ive machined for it. As well as a size comparison with my belvedere. thanks for looking! Edited April 24, 2017 by jhuntsman

351 cleve Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Holy BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH!!! You are killing me. I think I'll just leave my junk at home on the next contest. Lookin really good!!
shaunmza Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 @jhuntsman that looks great! What 3d printer do you use?
geewhiz Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 The printer certainly brings a new dimension to building with the ability to design and print your own parts. Anxious to see how this killer Camaro comes together!!! Very cool so far!!!????????
jhuntsman Posted September 10, 2016 Author Posted September 10, 2016 Thanks for the comments guys! @shaunmza its a makerbot replicator 2x. Nothing fancy but it works for what i need.
jhuntsman Posted January 19, 2017 Author Posted January 19, 2017 Here is a couple pics of the interior as it stands now. 3d printed seats and console with scratch built shifter. The body is in primer and ready to paint.

KWT Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 This is slick... I don't get into this section often, but I'm glad I didn't miss this one. Can't wait to see it finished.
mecklm Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Wow, I frequent this section regularly but somehow missed this one completely. Love the work you've done and I especially get a kick when standard kits are manipulated for the better with custom parts, be it scratch built by hand or by 3d printer. Nice work on the seats and wheels. What material did you machine the wheels from? Also, did you machine one and mold/cast the rest? Thanks for sharing! Mike
jhuntsman Posted April 25, 2017 Author Posted April 25, 2017 Mecklm, the wheels are aluminum. They are 2 pieces. I turned all the wheel sleeves on the lathe out of a piece of tube and cut the centers out of a piece of plate in a haas cnc mill. Thanks for the feedback guys!
Davewilly Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Looks really nice...I like the interior tub Looks nice!
Twokidsnosleep Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Sweet combination of skills, technology and style Loving your build
