Ramfins59 Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 Wow... Older musicians are dropping like flies... Thankfully I'm an old guy who is still here...
SfanGoch Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 Looks like another possible reunion tour scratched off the list.
Harry P. Posted March 11, 2016 Author Posted March 11, 2016 Wow... Older musicians are dropping like flies... Thankfully I'm an old guy who is still here... The thing is, he wasn't really all that old. 71. Don't know the circumstances of his death (Natural causes? Cancer? Chronic illness?). But regardless of the reason, I think 71 is a bit early to be checking out.
maltsr Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 ELP were the first band I ever saw live, back in 1972. Keith was from my home town, too. RIP
High octane Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 I guess being a "rock star" has taken its toll on many musicians lately. Depending on what level a person/group takes their music, I suppose that it could be a very hard job at times.
Crazy Ed Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Well at least he made it WELL past 27..............

chunkypeanutbutter Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 (edited) Suicide. Self-inflicted gunshot wound. Strange thing, I bought their first LP just yesterday at Goodwill. Edited March 12, 2016 by chunkypeanutbutter

Harry P. Posted March 12, 2016 Author Posted March 12, 2016 Roy, they had a lot of great songs... From the Beginning, Lucky Man, Fanfare for the Common Man, Hoedown... etc.
