I saw an Airfix kit that shocked me at one of the local hobby shops.  It was a 1/24 German fighter from WWII (BF109?).  I couldn't imagine the size of that thing.  I'd be tempted, but I don't have the room.  :)

You want Large Aircraft

Look for GPM's B-53

1/33 (1/32)

Monogram's 1/72 scale is 30+ inches long with 3FOOT Wingspam

DOUBLE that for the GPM kit

Oh yea, it is PAPER!!!!!

And NO I don't have one!!

Always though Monogram's "Phantom" Clear Fuselage P-51 Mustang was 1/24

They Do have a Huey Copter that is!!

The Phantom Mustang is 1/32. I have another 1/32 P-51 that I'm not that thrilled about. Thinking seriously of putting a Chevy engine in it and a 1/24 cockpit and doing it as a 3/4 scale homebuilt. Such things have actually been built.

I have both the GPM paper model and the Monogram kit; but, I've been on the waiting list seven years for this bad boy:

1/48th USAF BOEING B-52 A - H KITS

An honest to goodness 1/48 BUFF, in all its 54" wingspan glory! :) It should be ready for release very shortly.

Funny part is, even a kit like that can build into a nice shelf model. ;)

Steve, I'm pretty sure you could turn a happy meal toy into a nice shelf model. ;)

That's funny Johann!

I appreciate that, but everyone has their limitations & I think a happy meal toy is well beyond mine. ^_^

I could do a nice job with the little '66 Mustangs that came in certain cereal boxes in 1966, if I could get suitable wheels. Those little things were NICE, and amazingly accurate for what they were. Look 'em up if you've never seen one.

Harry  do you display that with mirrors to show off all that great detail?

Actually, viewing that model comes with a guided tour...
