Ladies & Gentlemen: My Corvette G T P

Hello!!!

I'm very happy! This is my grail for 2008. I like the final product. The Quick Skins kit is such a joy to work with! The only minor "inconvenience" I had was the right rear tire that needed some persuation to get in place. The model represents chassis # HU-710/01 as it raced in Road Atlanta on April 6, 1986 where it won the race, took the pole with a track record of 1:12:001 and set the fastest lap of the race at 1:14:410.

Yes, I know they use UHF communications in Atlanta but I couldn't resist adding the VHF antenna

This is what the general public sees when I open the garage.

The GTP book is always available for reference.

But my friends (all of you) have more access

Quick Skins kit

Cobra Colors white, silver and black paint, Cobra Colors clear

Scratchbuilt fender louvers, antenna and aluminum radiator baffles (the photoetch ones did not cooperate)

Added oil lines to transaxle

Full interior with full harness, dash gauges, electronics boxes /wiring and fire suppression system

Front brakes cooling ducts (orange)

Wall posters from its racing era and a 2008 Corvette Racing Calendar

Oh, hell yes! Very nice work my friend.

I got to watch them race at Mid Ohio against the 962s.

Brings back nice memories.
