jdhog Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 I got started on another build over the weekend. Holy flash and body warp, Batman. This is from the AMT Hot Rods three model kit. The back of the body is warped pretty bad, but straightens up alright when mounted to the fenders. I don't know what I'm going to put under the hood yet. Paint is Createx with Rustoleum Crystal Clear clearcoat. Pegasus wheels.
Badluck 13 Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Sure is Purdy!!!!!.......love the color and especially the wheel/tire combo.
jdhog Posted April 12, 2016 Author Posted April 12, 2016 Sure is Purdy!!!!!.......love the color and especially the wheel/tire combo.Thank you. The color is actually more "purple" in real life. Kind of looks blue in the pictures.
BIGTRUCK Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Thats a nice purple, almost a deep chrome purple Looks like a great start.
jdhog Posted April 12, 2016 Author Posted April 12, 2016 Thats a nice purple, almost a deep chrome purple Looks like a great start.Thanks. I have found that the Createx and Wicked pearl and metallic colors do very well when sprayed over a silver basecoat. I haven't had much luck with them when sprayed over a regular grey or red primer.
James2 Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Perfectly painted and the wash is great, looking good man!
