The production Camaro will not be from Australia. The production Camaro will be built in North America, unlike our Pontiac G8 that is coming from Australia. At the recent Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance, the new Camaro concept car in silver was sitting next to a production-spec silver Challenger SRT-8. The Challenger looked like a truck by comparison. The Camaro is much sexier in person than the Challenger.

Don't get me wrong i like the Camaro much better looking that the Chrysler products but if they would go with a 69 Camaro nse look that Camaro would look killer!!!!!!!!!!!

Keep in mind that this is a pre-production prototype, and will look a little different than this. The headlights will be different for sure, and certain other details will be different when they hit the showroom. I'm afraid we're stuck with the "smile" though.

You got it wrong, the new Challenger is much better looking than the Transformer angry shaver Camaro. I even prefer the 4 door Charger to that thing. I find it funny the Camaro fans are defending it, it looks like a 69 Camaro that caught a bad infection and is swollen all over. They ought to be upset they stuck the "lil pal" nameplate to that monstrosity. For what it's worth though, it's better looking than the Chrysler "Imperial" prototype, that blob trashed the Imperial name even more so..... I think Pokey has it right, if they tone it down some, it would help....a lot!
MrObsessive Posted April 12, 2008 Posted April 12, 2008 I love both the Camaro and the Challenger, but my only problem with 'em is that they're not true hardtops like the concepts. Thank the safety nazi's and a litigious society for that! I'd still consider one (especially the Camaro) when I'm looking for a fun rear drive coupe again..............but I want to see the convertible!
