extmcdriver Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Hey Guys, My latest project on my work bench. I attempting to make a Pete dump truck replicating a local dump company. Changes to the base AMT Pete 359 Kit include; Cat engine from the Revell snap kit, suspension from the parts box, front floats from the Revell Pete Wrecker, dump box from the Paystar kit, as well as rear tires from KJ which are fantastic. Still have a long way to go, thanks for viewing!!!!
Mike77 Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Great work so far! I wish I could find a few sets of those Revell floats & wheels.
Mopar - D Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Nice start what color are you going to use for the cab?
gatorincebu Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Wow! that is looking really good about now. I really like your choice of tires. Where did you get them ? Be Well Gator
angelo7 Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 Man I like everything you have there. Nice color, good looking tires, specially the front, nice lift axle.
extmcdriver Posted May 12, 2016 Author Posted May 12, 2016 (edited) Thanks guys for the comments, to answer the questions; the tires are from KJ at Double Take Replicas. I love the way the tires look and feel, they are rubber, not resin!!! The color for the cab is the same as the frame, the hood has the same base color with purple and orange almost horizontal stripes. I know this sounds crazy!!! There is a local dump truck company that sports those colors. I will update when I get close to the finish line. Edited May 12, 2016 by extmcdriver
