phil-east Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 I built these two vipers box stock with a bit of weathering, great kits to build and they look good on the shelf together. I used these to work on my weathering techniques before i get started on a load of star wars kits i have. I learned quite a lot building them and am quite happy with the results. any feedback both positive and negative is welcome. Thanks for looking.
Jim B Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 They are both very nice, but I'm partial to the Mk.II, myself.
GTJUNIOR Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 They are both very nice, but I'm partial to the Mk.II, myself.I agree. I especially like the mild weathering on that Mk II.
phil-east Posted May 15, 2016 Author Posted May 15, 2016 Thanks guys, i also prefer the mk.ll. where would i find a 1st gen blunc ?
blunc Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 (edited) Revell and Monogram marketed the Viper MK1, I have not heard that it has been reissued so you will have to search auction or collector sites. I had heard of a guy that made one out of toilet paper rolls... it was fondly referred to as a Colonial Wiper. Edited May 26, 2016 by blunc
phil-east Posted May 25, 2016 Author Posted May 25, 2016 (edited) cool i will keep an eye out for one, until then i may consider a "colonial wiper" but with my lack of cardboard scratchbuilding experience i worry about it looking like poop Edited May 25, 2016 by phil-east
Roadrunner Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 I like them both. This reminds me, I've got to get one of the big Cylon Raider kits, they're just too cool.
phil-east Posted May 27, 2016 Author Posted May 27, 2016 thanks roadrunner, i have been looking at the cylon raider kits, definately on my wishlist.

darthsideous Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 The mark 1 viper has been released by mobieus models and the reissued monogram kit is very easy to find on eBay for resonable prices. By the way you did a great job both models look fantastic!
