I built these two vipers box stock with a bit of weathering, great kits to build and they look good on the shelf together. I used these to work on my weathering techniques before i get started on a load of star wars kits i have. I learned quite a lot building them and am quite happy with the results. any feedback both positive and negative is welcome. Thanks for looking.

They are both very nice, but I'm partial to the Mk.II, myself.

I agree. I especially like the mild weathering on that Mk II.

Revell and Monogram marketed the Viper MK1, I have not heard that it has been reissued so you will have to search auction or collector sites.

I had heard of a guy that made one out of toilet paper rolls... it was fondly referred to as a Colonial Wiper.   ;)

cool i will keep an eye out for one, until then i may consider a "colonial wiper" but with my lack of cardboard scratchbuilding experience i worry about it looking like poop

thanks roadrunner, i have been looking at the cylon raider kits, definately on my wishlist.

I had one of the old Monogram Raiders, and it was pretty cool, but that new bigger one, is awesome! I'll have one, eventually.

The mark 1 viper has been released by mobieus models and the reissued monogram kit is very easy to find on eBay for resonable prices. By the way you did a great job both models look fantastic!
