I'm presently building AMT' '23 "T" Delivery Van. Not a bad little kit over all. Everything seems to be going together quite nicely, except one thing. I can't figure out how the body mounts on to the chassis? There is one mounting pin/peg right above the rear axle that seems to be designed to go into a hole/indentation in the bottom of body's floor. Beyond that, nothing. Other than that one spot, I don't see where the body really touches the chassis in a way that it can be glued down firmly?

Is there anybody out there who has successfully completed this kit? And tell me what I'm missing?

Dunno about the van body, as I haven't built that version, but on the regular T roadster, the body just kind of sits down and over the frame. I didn't glue the body on on mine (you know how I am about leaving all possible future options open), but it shouldn't be too hard to find out what touches what, where, and secure it with a drop of CA or even Elmer's if you're a more permanent kind of modeler.

That's the problem Snake. Other than a mounting post in milddle of the frame crossover, the part that humps up to accommidate the rear axle. Beyond that, the side rails touch nothing until you get to front of the fenders where the radiator mounts. And there is not much touching there! Talked to a few guys today at the NNL North model car show about this. None I talked to have ever built the kit. So, they had no advice or suggestions that was helpful. I'm hoping someone on this forum has built this kit, and can tell me how one mounts the body on the chassis.

Scott, I'm looking at mine. I built mine in January as part of the Annual 24 hour build.  I see the mounting point on the rear end.  Mine also touches on the fender piece.  When I flip mine upside down and look down at the floorboard, there is an offset, width wise, about half way, length wise.  The offset allows the outer part, (or wider part), to mate to the fender unit.

Wow, I hope that makes sense to you becaue it is not too clear to me.  I can take a picture if you need me to.

Thank you. I too am having a hard time understanding exactly what your telling me. I think I'm getting it. But, a photo would help if you could?

My apologies, Scott.  We had one decent day of weather, and that was today.  Did as much outside work as I could tonight.  Now on to some inside work.  If you need pictures, let me know and I will try to get some tomorrow night.

I did some work modifying the rear chassis cross member/axle support. I trimmed off its mounting post and the block it was sitting on. This made the chassis make better contact in front where it connected there. I'm still not 100% happy with results. But, it seems to have worked.
