Foxer
There are many models on here with custom upholstery that should give you ideas. I would use some plastic strips and round the edges before gluing to a base made from anything .. plastic best so you can glue the strips easily. I've uses thin half round strips to tuck n roll, but for wide flat pleats you have to use flat strips. You have plenty of strips available to pick from. You'll have to use strips thin enough to allow then to wrap around the seat tops. I did a google search and this should do it for ya. ... http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/85175-new-tuckn-roll-interiors/ This should look cool .. be sure to let us see!! I have one built in my display that I painted red with all bumper and taillight pieces being white metal that I polished. Used bmf for the chrome. Came out great and I love it in my display. Drake69
I thought these were called "rumble seats", like back in the 20's with the fold out seats in the trunk area.

landman
Mine will likely be a '57 Ford. I plan to redo mine as a wagon. I'd use the back for this.
