Spex84 Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Love the bare metal effect! I'm impressed that you managed to BMF the whole model without much in the way of wrinkles or seams. With the various washes to add patina, it looks very convincing.
MGL Posted June 3, 2016 Author Posted June 3, 2016 Wow, thanks for all the kind words! My original plan was shiny paint so I just kind of winged it when I went with this style. I don't normally build pre-war or weathered models and I took most of my inspiration from models I've seen on this forum so again, thanks for the complements and the inspiration.
modelfink Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Nice hot rod! I especially love the wheel and tire combo. Superb detail on those. Are those aftermarket items?

Are those aftermarket items?Sorry it took so long to reply back, I am currently at sea. The tires and wheels came with the kit and include a nice set of Ford hubcaps and whitewall decals.
Robberbaron Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 Awesome work on that raw metal finish. Not many people could pull that off convincingly, which it is...
