What's up Model dudes

Recommended Posts

Thanks, I don't build many 1/12 models. But my brother had this one left over from his modeling days and I found it in his garage one day and thought I could do something with it. I scratch built a dash tach from a value stem cap and a gas tank from 2 paint markers spliced together. I used some 69 camaro parts and scratch built a straight axel. Also I cut the side walls out of the slicks and stuffed the white walls inside to give the "piecrust" look to the rear tires.Added hillborn injection and some flames to complete the "Gasser" look. I finished second at the contest I entered it in. I was happy considering it was just scrapped parts from an earlier build.

Thanks everyone for the compliments, and welcoming. I posted the outdoor pic of the 57 on a real car forum that I'm a member on and some of the comments were... how far did you move the engine back? and do you drive it on the street? I consider that to be the best compliment when someone believes it's real. One post said I'm pretty sure that is a model and it's awesome.

Anywho, heres a pic of what I really drive.. I'm in earily stages of building replica of my car so I hope to start a build thread on it soon. Stay tuned and Model on, dudes!
