cobraman Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 Not normally my style of building as I prefer shiny but thought I would take a wack at a barn find style that maybe had some restoration done. Amt's 57 Vette with weathered white paint. Tires and wheels from the parts box as well as the roll bar and front axle. Flocked the interior but probably should not have seeing as its a race car. I planned on installing a pre wired distributor and ordered a couple but they have not yet arrived. Comments good or bad always welcome.
Harry P. Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 Looks pretty good to me. The spring detailing on the wheelie bars is a nice touch.
Snake45 Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 Roll bar looks a little high, and could use at least one brace of some kind, if not two. And it need more induction--blower, injectors, or at least two fours on a tunnel ram. IMHO, of course. Otherwise, I like your paint weathering a lot. Really looks the part.
Intmd8r Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 Nice weathering! Glad to see you left the hood scoop off.
espo Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 Looks great. All great race cars were given testing before the final paint job was applied.
cobraman Posted June 15, 2016 Author Posted June 15, 2016 Thank you all for the kind words and yes, I do agree the roll bar is a tad too tall.
